SMP for Thinning Hair

SMP for Thinning Hair & Density

If your hair is still there but your scalp shows through, scalp micropigmentation can reduce that contrast and create the appearance of fuller density.

Density SMP is designed for men and women with thinning areas who want to keep their existing hair and improve how full it looks without trying to create fake hair growth.

How Density SMP Works

Tiny pigment impressions are placed between existing hairs to visually reduce the amount of scalp showing through. The treatment does not grow hair. It changes the contrast your eye sees between the scalp and surrounding hair, which can make thinning areas appear denser.

The pattern, shade and density are built gradually so the result blends with your natural hair rather than looking like a solid block of color.

Who Density SMP Can Help

  • Men with diffuse thinning on top or crown
  • Women with visible scalp through thinning hair
  • Clients with reduced density after a hair transplant
  • People who want visual density without lowering the natural hairline

Do I Have to Shave My Head?

Not always. Density treatments are often performed through existing hair when there is enough natural coverage to blend with the pigment.

Your haircut, thinning pattern and long-term hair-loss plan are evaluated during consultation before treatment begins.

Thinning Hair SMP FAQ

Will SMP make my hair grow back?

No. SMP is cosmetic camouflage. It creates the visual impression of additional density but does not stimulate or regrow hair.

Can SMP be combined with a hair transplant?

Yes, when the scalp and transplant are appropriately healed. SMP can be used to reduce visible scalp between transplanted hairs and support the appearance of density.
