Unhappy with SMP done somewhere else? Corrective scalp micropigmentation may be able to improve an unnatural hairline, uneven density, poor blending or other issues depending on what pigment is already in the skin.
Every correction is different. The existing work has to be assessed before we can tell you what can realistically be improved and whether additional SMP, fading or another approach makes more sense.
Common concerns include a hairline that is too hard or too low, impressions that are too large, uneven density, poor blending into the sides, color that no longer matches well or work that does not fit the client’s natural hair-loss pattern.
Correction starts with understanding what is already there rather than simply adding more pigment.
Possible Corrective Options
Softening or blending an existing hairline
Balancing uneven density
Improving transitions into existing hair
Adding strategic density after prior SMP
Recommending fading or laser first when more pigment would make things worse
Sometimes Less Is Better
Not every bad SMP result should be covered with more pigment. If the existing work is too dark, too saturated or positioned poorly, the best correction may require fading or laser before new SMP is considered.
The consultation is where we decide whether adding pigment will actually improve the result.
Corrective SMP FAQ
Can every bad SMP result be fixed?
No. Some cases can be improved with additional SMP, while others need fading or removal first. The existing pigment and hairline placement determine the options.
Should I send photos first?
Yes. Clear photos in normal lighting can help us understand the problem before an in-person consultation.
