Join Us As We Support the Black Lives Matter (BLM) Movement
Join us as we fund the BLM Movement and fight for accountability, justice, and racial equity in Delaware
George Floyd. Breonna Taylor. Ahmaud Arbery. Tamir Rice. Trayvon Martin. Philando Castile. Eric Garner. Sandra Bland.
Unfortunately, these are just a handful of Black people who have lost their lives because of heinous acts of police brutality. Despite the massive international outcry against systemic racism, justice has yet to be served.
At Delaware Scalp Micropigmentation, we stand in solidarity with the Black community and want to use our platform to demand justice and institutional reform in the U.S. We’re committed to supporting the Black community by collecting funds to help further the fight against white supremacy.
As BLM continues to gain more support across the nation, we want to keep the momentum going. From signing petitions to donating for greater accountability, there’s a lot that you can do to fight racial inequity. In fact, educating yourself on the history and contemporary prevalence of racism is a start in itself. As U.S. citizens, it’s our responsibility to speak up against injustice of any sort—especially institutionalized racism that affects the Black community on a regular basis.
Here’s how you can help. Start by participating in protests. If you are unable to engage in activism, turn to active advocacy. Use your voice on social media to raise awareness for the BLM Movement and stand up against white supremacy.
Support black-owned businesses. The COVID-19 pandemic and recent atrocities against Black people have taken a toll on the Black community—emotionally and financially. They’ve been disproportionately affected because of inequitable healthcare laws and a wide range of other hindrances caused by discriminatory practices.
Toss the symbolic gestures aside. If you’re a white ally, you can help by actively giving reparations to redress the racial wealth gap. If you have the privilege of financial security as a person of color, fund the BLM Movement by donating and switching to Black-owned businesses.
